They have nothing to say to this point. It shows them all up. Trump has been mentioning it a lot and he needs to continue hammering it home whenever he gets the chance. Lobbying is one of the most destructive things to a democratic system.

Trumps campaign slogan should be "Even if I lose, I'll buy a winner"
[–] PM_ME_YOUR_BOOBS2 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
But if he is currently benefitting from said system why would he want to change if? I've rarely ever seen someone smart act against their own interest. So why does Trump want to change the system? This is what I can't figure out.
[–] FriedrichNietzsche 1 point 5 points 6 points (+6|-1) ago
My guess is, Trump is the kind of guy who likes leading and likes being the center of things. He dominated American business, now he's bored of that and wants to dominate American politics.

It's sad that we need a court jester like Trump to point out the elephants in the room.

All it took was one billionaire with balls.

What do you think Jon Stewart has been all these years?
[–] tube 0 points 7 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago
Jon Stewart was great at this job, but he did have a major liberal bias. I liked how he would hold media accountable, though.

a propaganda tool of the democrat establishment?
[–] Acerebral 1 point 27 points 28 points (+28|-1) ago
I am terrified by the fact that I agree with Trump. It's depressing that piece of shit is the most honest and dependable Republican candidate.
[–] PraiseIPU 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
Isn't hat what got Nixon elected?
"He is a lying, swindling, crook. We know that. But he is honest about it and gets shit done"
[–] Inverse 0 points 7 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago
When they're all lying swindling crooks, you might as well get the one who will call out all the others since he's honest about himself.

The nice thing about people who don't care what they say is that they are most likely telling the truth.

I would argue that Ben Carson is pretty genuine, seems like a great dude that hasn't breen corrupted by politics in Washington. At least yet.
[–] thuglas 0 points 15 points 15 points (+15|-0) ago
Trump is a clown unfit for presidency but his campaign act is certainly exposing the circus of the American oligarchy to us in bright relief.
[–] Dereliction 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
Can't have a real circus without a few clowns.

And an elephant (Christie).
And a bear that does tricks (hmm...not sure who this is)

Well put. I didn't know how to verbalize my own opinion on the matter but this fits my bill
[–] oowensby 1 point 4 points 5 points (+5|-1) ago
Politifact says that Trump donated $10,000 to Scott Walker's gubernatorial campaign and $500 to Jeb Bush.
Donald Trump says he gave most of his debate opponents campaign money. He didn’t.

Candidates also aren't allowed to know what goes on in their PACs.
[–] Lighting 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
That's not true. When a small group of people contribute 99% of the funds in a PAC, setup the PAC, announce that they are doing that, have conversations with the candidate that they are doing it - it's no secret.
[–] oowensby 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
It depends on how the PAC is chartered. The ones that spend all they have after operating expenses on electioneering and ads have to disclose their donors. The groups that don't have to disclose their donors have to spend half their proceeds on educational and cultural endeavors.

With the implication that he has Hillary bought and paid for, as he forced her to come to his wedding.
[–] Dereliction 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I'd note that she's been mum about all this so far, which is pretty damning as I see it.
[–] toxicass 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
There's pictures online of Bill and Her at the wedding.
