But all the grandstanding, lockdowns, etc., did nothing. So the claimed victory is a farce.
The one critical mistake however was sending COVID patients to nursing homes.
So basically he focused on a bunch of ineffective measures that accomplished nothing - ex. masks - while blundering in the area that could possibly have made a big difference; protecting the elderly.

You don’t think that keeping people away from each other, plus a massive campaign to wash hands, would make any impact on spread of a contagion?
That just doesn’t make sense. There is also zero mention of herd immunity in the linked piece.
