He's right, look at Trump. It seems that people like the candidates that aren't holding back.

He is literally only pretending to run so that people say his name. His name is how he makes money.

Bernie Sanders is the only one with the people's interest in mind first and foremost.

Listen to your own argument against Trump. He's rich, he's successful, he has a long history of being a CEO. These are bad quality for a candidate because...?

Rand Paul is doing the same, he just doesn't get as much camera time as Trump.

I think Trump's main goal is to 1 up Paul. If he wasn't in the race, Rand would be in the front.

Trump has been doing fine without even mentioning Paul.

Paul's track record has been sketchy at best. He sounds better than the other reds, but I wouldn't say he's genuine, at least not by non-politician standards. Meanwhile Trump's track record shows him to be a genuine selfish asshole exactly like his campaign seems to indicate, and Sanders is a genuine Liberal who will actually work hard for the people he's representing and stick to his guns as his track record has proven.

The American “government” should be as small as possible. There should be no welfare, no universal healthcare, no fucking safety net designed to protect the weak. Our capitalist system works because it provides both the freedom to succeed and also the freedom to fail. Failure is natural, its how mother nature weeds out the stupid gay bullshit. It’s called natural selection, you fucking hippies, read a book… specifically read Darwin: the Origin of Species. That shit is the foundation of the theory of evolution. If society is naturally prosperous enough to provide these services for free, then great. But they shouldn’t tax me for that bullshit. If someone is too weak to figure out how to survive without government aid, then in all honesty… fuck them. This shit is real life, the game is simple: survive or die.

Taxing the rich, raising the minimum wage, and never shutting the fuck up about equality are "establishment politics," Bernie.

My god, this guy is so full of shit. And you people eat it up!

Are you on crack? Establishment politics is lowering the taxes on the rich, letting the minimum wage fall further and further behind inflation till the entire working class is destitute.

[–] TotalWar 13 points 9 points (+22|-13) ago

It seems to me that you are the one on crack. Liberals in this country are still high on this delusion that they are a minority and "fighting the man". Nope. There's nothing revolutionary about what you're doing. As mentioned before, YOU ARE THE ESTABLISHMENT!

[–] CommonSense 9 points 6 points (+15|-9) ago

TotalWar's response to your comment is exactly right. So it's no wonder he's being downvoted. "Liberals" really are in denial about the way the country works. We employ your policies, things get worse, you take no credit, and then demand more of your failed policies.

When has the minimum wage ever fallen??? It would be political suicide to call for lowering the minimum wage. Even the republicans campaign on entitlements. There is NOTHING special or unique about your flavor of the month, Bernie Sanders...aside from one thing: he admits he's a socialist while all the other socialists pretend they aren't.

I see that the crowd of dipshits who like to live in Fantasy Land are still around.

In reality, establishment politics has been the exact opposite of those things you mention for going on 40 years.

I was skeptical at first with Sanders but he seems like the only honest politician out there right now. I like a lot of what Rand Paul has to say also. I hope for a Paul vs Sanders Presidential race. I think the debates would be beneficial for everyone and we would end up with the best possible out come.

It's coming down to HIlary and Sanders and you know it.

No one else has any clout.

Edit: I am wrong. Was thinking of something else.

You're either blind or you haven't looked at his track record at all. He may technically be a career politician, but he is far from what we think of as one.

I think someone who has made politics their lifelong focus, is a career politician. So please, tell me more about what "we think," instead of speaking for yourself.

Establishment means those currently in power, and benefiting from current policies, not being in politics for a long time.

Establishment means those currently in power

Bernie is currently in power. Has been for 34 years while never holding a real job in his life. He is addicted to the power of the state.

This hypocrite wouldn't dare mention the problem with blacks in America.

Au contraire- he thinks the issue is racism against blacks. He's an enabler. Like a parent who gives in to their little brat's temper tantrum.

[–] fat_pony 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

Vermont is only 1.2% black. He's probably never met a black person who wasn't rich and connected.

It's easy for people who don't live in a majority black city to think all of their problems are just the war on drugs and the "legacy of slavery". It's like people in the US calling people in the EU racists for hating gypsies. Distance to a problem population directly correlates to how tolerant you are towards said group.

I'll never vote for anyone who tries to bring more power to the government, period. Couldn't be more clear that the president has little to no actual power, when it takes millions of private-interest dollars to get them there; therefore good intentions mean very little when you're talking about one man surrounded by endless corruption.

Stop being a pawn, and vote for a 3rd party, anything less is unamerican. People are so easily fooled into feeling hope, it genuinely ruins my outlook on humanity to see critical thought be so completely absent.

Stop being a pawn, and vote for a 3rd party, anything less is unamerican.

Sanders has ran mostly as an independent. He's running as a Democrat so he doesn't have to take votes from the lesser evil and end up with another full-fledged warmonger. On top of this, the FPTP voting system ensures the other parties essentially cannot win. So nothing is proven. The fact that Sanders is running against the establishment candidates and running in the correct way, it's almost too good to be true. He actually has a chance to win and remove money from politics. The system is only fucked because we keep hiring employees who do nothing. The government is a good thing. It only fails when we select paid-off failures to run it.
