Evert day my disappointment in voat users finds a new low, how are so many so foolish and unthinking. We still have over 3 months to reach 60k deaths and we're on course to reach 60k dead by mid may we could easily cross 75k deaths by august 1st and that doesn't consider we will see a second outbreak begin in september.

It's depressing. And it has nothing to do with the virus, it's just that whatever has happened to the userbase in general (certain people joining, others leaving, perspectives changing perhaps) has incredibly diminished skepticism here. And I mean real skepticism, being skeptical about ALL claims. Half the Voat threads are outright sensational bullshit that's just preaching to the choir, and few people ever challenge whatever point is being made if it conforms to the beliefs of most people here. If I post evidence that the coronavirus event is a hoax, or that climate change is one too, nobody questions it. If I did the reverse, it would cause nonstop screeching.

Voat is supposed to be a place for the voiceless to have a place to express themselves, freedom of speech and all that, and yet it's become progressively (lol) more of an echo chamber for the past few years. I had greater faith in all this when we started out. Now it's hard to even read the front page of /all.

Kinda like earlier in the year when the progressive idiots were saying restricting travel from China was racist?
