Right...Not saying it's end of the world. But it's still spreading exponentially. It might hit a few million worldwide. We can't ignore that. We shouldn't be okay with a power grab. But simple things like staying at home, washing hands, etc. is worth it.

If it takes a pandemic for people to wash their hands, we've got way bigger fish to fry.

Taking precautions is one thing. Shutting down the entire planet in a panic is another altogether.

what would be your course of action in such an event? just let the virus kill millions because they're not statistically significant enough for you?

if people get the virus, die, and wouldn't have died if they hadn't caught the virus, then there is reason to believe these people you're including in the total death toll, wouldn't be accounted if the virus didn't infect them to begin with.

this is why we try to stop it, to prevent people from dying that wouldn't have died otherwise.
