I think most cities yes, but there will certainly be some red cities throughout the heartland.
But you make it sound so simple - this insidious blue beast is not that stupid. They will secure means to resources before making the final move - this is why I'm looking at the coasts. How do we import what we need? Even the Civil and Revolutionary Wars relied upon foreign aid to some degree - in war an advantage is an advantage.
Also cities have airports, and distribution centers are usually located throughout sprawling suburbs. "All we have to do" is simple to say; logistically it is a little more difficult.

Yeah that it's true.
Everyone does their part.
We won't know what resources we have until we see which way the military breaks. Most combat soldiers are with us. Idk about Navy.
If we have anti air and subs planes and ships resuplying the enemy are not a problem.
They have more problems every diverse City will have chimp outs then race roots when they run out of food and the "month money" stops coming in.
