Just don't let yourself be fooled by simple lies either

Like 'never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity'.

Horse's shit, any hostile actor worth their salt knows to cloak their actions in stupidity, even the average joe knows to play dumb to get out of a ticket if they can.

Never let an enemy hide behind playing the fool.

I know an old guy who took advantage of others his entire life because he pretends to be stupider than her really is. People assume he's too stupid to pull the kind of shit he has pulled. He's gotten away with everything except for the shit he tried to pull on me. Now he is scared of me and acts sincerely deferential whenever we come into contact.

Never be afraid to show your power level. You can change the world.

Or another common favorite: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." No, sometimes the enemy of your enemy is your other enemy. Though rare, at times 2 enemies may enter into a limited alliance to end a greater threat, they're still your enemies and should be closely watched and not trusted.

This one is one of my personal pet peeves. So many people believe this as if it was a fact God had given them.

9 times out of 10 it's in fact, just malice.

As for the "making friends" argument, go out and check how many people believe that. No, they just believe no one is malicious - while it's quite the opposite. It's takes great will and good parenting to overcome it and to always be truthful and good

This is an axiom for making friends and not becoming bitter.

Your attitude is an axiom for war.

Life is never 100% of either.
