What an amazingly astute statement. Since, ...armed...londoners stopped London Bridge stabbings..
[–] midnightblue1335 ago
They weren't "armed". "Armed" implies weapons. What these men had were two fire extinguishers, and a fish-tusk. Those are improvised weapons at best... and "random heavy objects" at worst.
Imagine if they were actually armed with pistols or rifles or shotguns. The savage wouldn't have been able to hurt more than one person before being riddled with bullets.

Nobody got stabbed in my town yesterday, or the day before, or for as long as I can remember for that matter. Maybe he means safest diverse cities.

Giving a man a gun (and other infantry gear) is like giving him a firetruck. If he has no idea how to use it, and no desire to do so, then he will not put out a fire.
We need to train our children in school to protect their communities.

In Australia, at least, that would probably get you time in the slammer!
