So if somebody edits the meaning of the word chocolate in online dictionaries to mean "brown substance that comes out of the anus of animals and humans", are you going to start pooping actual chocolate? Will actual turds start tasting yummy to you?
Because that's what you're saying here. My "academic" definition, which is the same definition used by everybody worldwide except a minority that gets the very different meaning from new online dictionaries, is just for fancypants and can't be used to communicate.
I think you have that backwards.

Your "academic" definition is the fake one. So skip it.

No, it is not. It is the same definition that exists since the word exists and the same definition that is understood by most people worldwide, in many languages, including English.
Obviously somebody's been trying to convince some people that the word has a different meaning, IN ORDER TO RADICALIZE THEM and to make PROPER THINKING on socio-economic systems impossible for these people.
That target people is YOU obviously. What are you, USA native English speaker? I'm trying to find out who (((they))) are trying to radicalize like that and to what ends.
