No, that's right. SOCIALISM is EVERYWHERE. I feel sorry that you and a whole lot of people like you got brainwashed into believing that socialism is some sort of extremist, absolute type of thing, but that's simply not true. I wonder (well, not really) who is responsible for the very Orwellian "adjustment" of online dictionaries to reflect what you believe, but their agenda is clear: make a segment of people equate socialism with evil.
It is not. Socialism is a question of DEGREE to which governance is taking care of the population's needs. Too much and there's no freedom, too little and there's slavery, which is no freedom again. You want freedom, you need a moderate amount of socialism.
EVERY SINGLE NATION requires an appropriate measure of socialism. It depends on the people, their mores, the economy, and a myriad other factors.
Listen, I'm not making this up! You're on Voat, you should know about disinformation, orwellian shit that (((they))) pull, and so on. Did you read the link on philosophyterms? It used to be that EVERYBODY knew that was the definition of socialism. And if somebody believes like you hears European news and they say the socialist party won the elections, oh boy... You'll have the WRONG idea. Just ask people in the UK, in France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and so on. They'll wonder where your definition of "socialism" comes from!
Your definition of socialism is pretty much totalitarian communism.
