I dunno about 8 year Supreme Court justices. It's already hard enough to keep the Conservatives on. You don't want a Liberal coming in every fucking 8 years with a new shit-ass Dem president.

I generally agree, but a Senate term is 6 years (should be dropped to 3 or 4). I'd be okay with a two-tern senator becoming president, or someone like Trey Gowdy serving on SCOTUS for a few years. Without the possibility for at least one reelection, there's no incentive for a sitting politician not to completely ignore the taxpayers one they're in office.

I like 10 for congress/senate, and 25 for supreme court justices. A decade in office sounds good, and is about the right time to have some form of impact long term.
