That really depends on your motive for making that claim. Are you making it because you actually believe it or are you making it because there are a lot of people that want to hear it.
The saddest part about that is that the vast majority of the people that hear that claim and gravitate towards the man with the message never even think to ask "Where does the money come from if you double minimum wage?"

it comes from the same people who will be getting the raises. the economy is driven by consumers and the largest class of consumers are lower and middle class people.
