He certainly wasn't a fucking Mossad-trained super-assassin. He's a great marksman, but he's no professional.
After my first few viewings of the footage, I was caught up in the hype of "wow this guy is hardcore", but after several more viewings, he makes so many basic errors throughout the incident, that it's plain to me that he is just a determined man who had his mind set on doing what he did, without wavering.
Imagine what this guy could've been like if he had military training. The death toll of 49 would seem paltry.

I hear what you're saying. Isn't it also possible that he did get some sort of formal training and that this was his first live "exercise"? First-time jitters could explain some of his mistakes.
I'm still on the fence and I'll probably be sitting up here forever since I'm sure all future findings will be withheld from the public eye
