Oh, what provision of Maine law gives the governor the authority to arrest and execute a candidate for winning a congressional race?

You seem like you're having fun with your Nazi LARP. But Maine voters chose to adopt ranked-choice-voting. Here's the statute they approved: http://legislature.maine.gov/statutes/21-A/title21-Asec723-A.html

All the candidates knew what the rules were heading into the election. The results are available here: https://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/results/index.html

You can see no candidate won a majority of first-choice votes. So then the bottom candidates were eliminated, and their supporters' second choices got counted. That resulted in the final tally, which had Golden defeating Poliquin.

Poliquin didn't like losing so he sued in federal court, but the judge dismissed his challenge. That opinion is available here: http://www.lwvme.org/files/RCV_judgment_for_defendants_20181213.pdf

But surely there must be some provision of Maine law I'm unaware of that gives the governor the unilateral authority to execute candidates he doesn't like? And there's some way this law trumps the Constitution's Due Process Clause?
