You're exchanging internet messages with one right now.

Also, have you never met a Texan?

The States are nations. They're little nations which are part of a bigger nation. That's literally the definition of "federalism".

If people were to put their state identity over their identity as imperial subjects of the fucking D.C. pedo mafia, that's a GOOD THING. Power has become far too centralized in D.C. It is an imperial abomination which has outlived any legitimacy it once had.

Take your copy of the Constitution and turn to the Tenth Amendment. Read it and think about what it means. State identity is a good thing. It's what makes the Jeffersonian "laboratory of democracy" possible in the first place.

/ You do have a copy of the Constitution handy, right? A man who posts in /v/politics should be able to quote chapter and verse!

Texas would likely be the only state that could successfully break away from the U.S I mean California could try but it'd quickly turn into a failed state like Venezuela and wouldn't have any of the benefits of being in the union.

Your right in that the U.S would be better off without D.C
