Yeah. I wasn't trying to comment on my interpretation of any of this information, just trying to helpfully answer one of your questions. I think I pretty much agree with your conclusions. Another commenter said something about maybe women are more comfortable with each other and aren't picky guys. That was mostly what I was thinking. Guys tend to desire physical beauty more. Gay guys and straight women are probably more mindful of this and try to be physically appealing to attract partners. And as you were saying, straight men tend to be more obese than straight women, so obviously straight men don't see it as a necessity for finding a partner, just as lesbians do not.

Obviously I don't know the answers for sure. I'm just some guy. But that makes the most sense to me. Doing what the study suggested and coming up with some kind of "safe space" physical activity environment to try to include more gay people when they probably aren't interested to begin with strikes me as misguided.
