We could chastise him for making Wisconsin's economy drag behind the rest of the nation by running things according to beliefs instead of what works.
We as a nation have to get away from idiotic ideologues that only want to do what the Koch brothers want and not what actually grows and strengthen the middle class.

Gentle, supportive, and out of the public eye conversations are the most effective way of changing someones stance on social issues. Shaming someone for not agreeing with you on a social issue is the easiest way to turn people, that person (Scott Walker) and people who agree with them (social conservatives), away. This method of private conversations has a track record of success with Dick Cheney and other politicans who pledge support for LGBT rights. These conversations should be openly supported and used as the primary method of social policy change.
