Was that supposed to be against the right? I'm confused

to me that seems unironically like a strong pro alt-right song. Edgy, cool, well produced, catchy song. This one is going to backfire on them if they are trying to keep kids away from the alt-right.

Yeah kind of funny how his Cold as the Clay album was supposed to be homage to traditional american music, then he writes the above song trying to jab at people for wanting to keep their traditions alive.
As far as his view on actually religion go from years ago, he wasn't opposed to religion as much as blindly following religious leaders when you can put your trust, time, and effort into those who are a part of your life. I heard in an interview he came to regret their anti-cross icon and stance as it isolated a lot of potential listeners, they just picked it because it was the most teenage fuck-you rebellion type thing they could think of.
I guess he's forgotten all that now.

Punk turned into "we love the government" a long time ago.

Writing a song to please the establishment and followed the accepted beliefs is about as far from punk rock as you can get
If only GG Allin and Darby Crash were still around

Was this a Murdoch Murdoch collaboration?

Is that supposed to be hip sarcasm. I fucking love punk and I am your mother. This has just become the alt right anthem.
