They did a work up for an aunt of mine who I haven't talked to since the 70's and then they asked if I wanted to do a test as well- um how the fuck do you know where I live to send me a coupon for Ancestry DNA, my aunt said we are 2 % jewish-I said oh yeah, Jews are a religion -how did the jews get chromosomes for a religion? She is currently "getting back" to me.

Y-chromosomal Aaron. The genetic ancestry stuff is all an approximation anyways. They take "known" native samples and test them to find the prevalence of different genetic markers and then use that data to define what constitutes as an Asian or an Eastern European marker.

It's more accurate than family trees though as most of them have not been preserved and have instead been recreated based on what available records and suppositions people could find or pretend to find.

Now that all having been said, most Jewish people believe that being Jewish is passed down by mothers and not fathers and so they have a conundrum when it comes to y-chromosomal Aaron.

Our DNA is probably already on file/s somewhere without your knowledge.

Precedent was set with that EAR faggot. They can now use illegally spook-stolen DNA and just create parallel evidence trails by scanning your relatives' data for genealogy tests. And because of the 6 Degrees of Retardation that is human relationship networks, one of your dumb cunt family members is bound to have gotten one done.

Also, if you're a person who wears glasses, be aware that your optometrist giving you one of those "free" new retina scans is pretty much getting your last remaining biometric security key on file. Your phone already steals your finger prints.

Unfortunately if not now, soon. There is no way to get around this. Kids will be donating DNA soon, and the registry will be set up within the next generation.

Eventually businesses will get free comprehensive background checks and drug screening through the government utilizing their employees biological material.

I swear there was a movie where employment also tested the prospective employee's DNA.

Ancestry and that 23andme place were being accused of padding everyone's results with groid numbers to artificially increase the 'groid' you have in your family tree.

I would never, ever use one of these 'services'....fuck that.

This was actually posted on a standard media post. I heard it in a few other places, and not again. Someone here said it was only "23andme", but I read it as both were involved.

It started out on here

I don't believe it to be as widespread as people think, but it does seem to have happened in some cases.

It doesn't need to be stored by a company for that. Just drop one of your hairs at a crime scene.

Took a ancestry DNA test? Here's what you should know about privacy

"Here's what you should know about DNA privacy rules:The largest companies that produce genetic profiles for customers are 23andMe and AncestryDNA associated with Ancestry.com."

'Right now, DNA testing companies are largely dictating user confidentiality, and some of those companies resell information. '

'Popular genetic testing companies 23andMe and Ancestry.com are holding on to more than information about your family tree, which raises privacy conerns. '

'Familial DNA testing led to the arrests of Lonnie Franklin Jr. in the Los Angeles “Grim Sleeper” serial killings from 1985 to 2007. ', "Tests usually use a saliva sample to determine the user's genetic ethnicity, and results provide users a look at where their ancestors lived."
