What's crazy is Italy is offering to pay for everything, including transport of the child.
I agree he's probably a useless potato and won't live very long but there is something incredibly bizarre that they won't allow the parents to try and save their child.

they either want to sell the baby parts, dissect him for medical study, or there's something medical about the child that they dont want other nations knowing about (but what).

As far as I've understood , the child didn't die after all when removed from life support, and now they're basically waiting for it to starve to death. There was a similar case in Finland some time ago, but the difference is that once the girl turned out to be able to survive outside life support, the hospital just let the willing parents take it home.
