I dont see the big deal. Kids are resourceful. They can turn white vans into custom designed shoes. Kids will be personnalizing these backpacks in no time with colored sharpies. And if the school says they are damaging school property they will just have their parents buy them their own.

Is this just your opinion as to how this will be enforced or is there an article. If its an opinion. I would just stuff my bag with tampons until they recognize me as the guy with nothing but tampons in his backpack. After three months of that you can easily hide things inside being concealed by the tampons.
