This is a rather ambiguous description, as Trump backpedaled on this very proposal, as broadly reported. It's definitely worrying that he even went as far as suggesting it though. But lets be clear, in the end he didn't make any legislative action or specifically back any proposed legislation that was instrumental to the Florida law.

He voiced support for the creation of the law that was created 8 days ago. Then he back-peddled to save face. He's following instructions now and has to mask it however he can.
