Hmmm... why would President Trump suggest something that he knows will be shot down by the Supreme Court?

It's almost as if he's opening the debate by setting the narrative by making an outlandish claim...

...ya know, like he does EVERY SINGLE TIME?

...ya know, like he's famous for doing... and wrote a fucking book about doing?

This is popcorn-making stuff... Cucks, resume peeing your panties!

But isn't part of the strategy is for us to act pissed off?

Ha ha - nice...

...but I think in this case it doesn't matter because it's a win-win position for President Trump: it doesn't matter if the (((MSM))) oppose or condemn President Trump because at the end of the day, he'll still appear to have tried to work with the Democrats and do everything he can... and the Democrat's position will be disarmed much like their DACA bullshit was.

Why do you think that Democrats are even going to come to the "hives of racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic, Islamaphobic redneck bible-clutching cousin-fucking retards" and actually care about our opinions about this development?

No, they'll stay in their "Safe Spaces", hype themselves up about "Gun Control is happening!", watch as their idiotic representatives try to triple down in favor of an even-bigger potential future win, and cry as Trump slowly works the deal far closer to his side of the aisle before finally tweeting "Oh well, guess Democrats don't want Gun Control after all" and throwing the deal into the trash bin.

Rinse and repeat for every Democrat talking point, and you have an entire Congress of incumbents weak to both far-left extremists in the primaries (because "you didn't support ___ when you had the chance, so you're not a real Democrat") and MAGA conservatives in the general elections (because "oh, you are promising tax reform in your platform? That's neat. Hey, remember that time you voted against the tax cuts? I wonder, how much of your constituents' money were you trying to take from them for your own wallet?").

Add in an early taste of "The Storm" against Hillary and her conies to fully unite MAGA under one electoral flag, and you have the perfect recipe for getting a cloture-proof majority in the House and Senate in 2018, giving you 2 full years of high-speed MAGA legislation, making Trump 2020 a guarantee, and truly opening the door for a complete and utter rout/mutiny among what is left of the Democrat Party.

The SCOTUS isn't infallible. There are some things I would rather not test and just don't make it a law in the first place.

Here's the problem because I suspect the deep state is setting up these school shootings as either narrative distractions or primarily to compromise our Constitution.

This is just my opinion, however I believe the President is attempting to disarm this false flag cycle.

Sometimes bold moves are necessary.

Agreed, but things may not be all that bleak. The addition of Gorsuch--- whether he is a originalist or a living constitutionalist makes little difference, and potentially another appointment on the way... The saber-toothed SCOTUS has the potential to keep some things in check during an uncertain future. However, the 'exhaustion rule' makes it difficult for some claims to be heard due to the seemingly bottomless pit of 'administrative remedies'.

It's representative of his outward behavior towards gun control recently. He's on board with everything.

The issue is that these are the words played over and over and over in campaign ads by opponents during the next election. All his opponents have to do is let his words speak for himself. It doesn't make him out to look like a consistent leader in any way shape or form.

If your words and your actions don't align, just because at the end of the day things worked out and you say "yes, this was all a part of my plan", and even if reasonable people can see that, there are still ways of taking that and spinning it against him. It's a gamble that his base will continue to support him into the next term.

Nobody will care when the spics and other subhumans are leaving this country (or being killed) in droves, the economy keeps getting better, and we keep winning.

They can say whatever they want "he lies a lot" - yeah, but at least he lies to get something good for the citizens out of it. The dems aren't even going to have someone likable enough or charismatic enough to pull off making that idea stick.

Also, the MSM is likely to be killed before the next election. Either by nobody watching/believing, or the government taking back the airwaves and using them in some other way, or with some other media; this time with the caveat that objective reporting of facts MUST happen each day during prime time.

If your words and your actions don't align

What actions are you referring to, precisely?

I only ask because this was effectively the opening exchange in a political negotiation... and President Trump floated an idea that EVERYONE with half a brain understands would never pass the Supreme Court.

I'm simply suggesting that people shouldn't pee their panties during the opening exchange of any political negotiation.

It's not representative of his outward behavior towards gun control recently. He's not on board with everything anything.

Fixed it for you. Only liberal queers would make a claim like you did, paying attention to words more than actions--and then mischaracterizing actions on top of that. Hes done nothing to support gun control and if you were an actual supporter you'd know that fl3x.

He's on the fast track to being a single-term president. If this shit goes any further south, we'll be hitting Mexico.

I see a lot of people thinking that this is some kind of extradimensional chess. You cunts better be right, because if he keeps this up by the end of his term, we'll probably be heading towards civil war. I refuse to compromise. If he touches my guns, then I can see a lot of dead politicians in the future.

Yeah, I don't think Trump deserves the worship he gets. This isn't 26D chess, he's simply testing the waters and seeing how his fans respond. I'm sure he's getting the message and will shy away from restrictions, but he's responding to populistic pressure, not going by any sense of right and wrong.

He's on the fast track to being a single-term president.

He was always going to be a single term president. That was the intent. Get in, maximize damage. Two term presidents are played. They compromise in the first term to buy political capital in the second, and once in the second, those 'political' debts don't get paid--thats the ruse of two terms. And thats why the establishment are shitting their britches right now--hes fighting as if he doesn't plan on running for a second term.

I see a lot of people thinking that this is some kind of extradimensional chess.

Let me explain the '4d' chess comments. The intention was to turn it into a meme in order to ridicule the notion--so people would ignore smart moves. And if you can't trust your own explanation of a smart move, what will most peopel do? Thats right, they'll start paying attention to the medias explanation again. Lobotomy, you're literally the sucker the '4d chess' ridicule-meme was intended for. You picked the correct user name bud.

1.) President Trump will not betray the 2nd amendment. He is saying this to draw out Republicans and Democrats who would support such an action. We have seen Trump use tactics such as this for over 3 years now: he makes an outlandish statement, gets his opponent to double down, and then when they inevitably hang themselves, he looks like the reasonable one who was only trying to open up the discussion. We've seen this how many times now?

2.) To the people who are freaking out over his comments and turn coating: do you not see how emotional you are acting here? You are behaving like liberals. Don't get me wrong, the 2nd amendment is non negotiable. But I also have faith in Trump, mostly because I have been paying attention and recognize that this is how he operates, and so far he has not disappointed. You faggots need to take a step back and examine how you are acting...have faith in your President! United we stand, divided we fall. You are never going to agree with the President 100%, but that doesn't mean you need to act like an emotional woman and drop support every time he makes a controversial statement. Funny, because that's EXACTLY how liberals behave..

Bottom line: you are hurting the movement when you act this way. You are lemmings, nothing more. You might as well join the other side, because you're already halfway there in your thought process anyway.

If Donald makes any action towards gun control, then he is a traitor. I'm waiting to see the end result, but I put absolutely zero faith in any politician, and fuck you for telling me to. Our country was built atop the foundational principle of not trusting any entity in the government, and Trump is no exception.

2
-1

[–] 0rion 2 points -1 points (+1|-2) ago  (edited ago)

I don't disagree with that. However, he has not done anything thusfar to signal that he is a traitor.

Like I keep pointing out to you: you are way too emotional on this topic. Think critically, not emotionally. If him saying this causes the Dems and Repubs to expose themselves, thus losing big in the midterms this year, isn't that worth it? Wait to see what happens before you give yourself a stroke.
