Trump essentially offered citizenship to dreamers, the ultimate reward for their criminality, on a silver platter. However, their own democrats betrayed them by denying the proposal just cause it had some limitations on immigration. Way to screw the pooch. Some people think the democrats want to save the immigration issue for midterms, but if this is how they are trying to save it, they might as well give up now. They have generated massive bad blood between themselves and their voters.
Trump has put the Democrats between the wall and the hard place, and now they must bargain if they want their precious dreamers to not get shipped out. The more time they waste, the more of them who's DACA-permits expire.

It's almost like waiting 10 more years and not fucking up even once isn't exactly on a silver platter.

Compared to not getting anything at all, its a fucking dream for them. This assumes they'll be given some sort of legal permanent status until the 10 years arrive. So yes,its pretty much the sweetest deal they can get.
