$1000 is more than Pelosi's ever given the working stiffs, that's for sure.

[–] Sellyoulight 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Stop me if I’m wrong, but ..... her or any other LibDemfucktard political hack either. I’ve been a resident/citizen/voter/taxpayer in the Libtard-infested hell of the Police State Of New York for longer than I care to admit, and the Dems (on the local, state, national, global or celestial levels) have never, EVER tossed me a dime.

Those $1000 bonuses are larger than the Obama era "stimulus checks". I wonder how helpful Pelosi thinks THOSE were?

[–] GassyMcGasface 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

You mean the 300 dollars I got and then my health insurance shot up 20%?

[–] Alwaysmakingprogress 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

We need some quotes about that, preferably from her, about that.

[–] x0byte 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

She seemed to fight for those tax rebate checks. She clearly felt they were more than just "crumbs". And it was a Bush era stimulus, not Obama's. https://www.cnbc.com/id/22820909

As much as I hate the mega corps, its their fucking money crazy bitch, they can do what ever they want with it, fucking commies.

[–] DrunkViking 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Money, is sweat that has hardened. So spend it as you will. Even if it is not your sweat, you have paid for it.

[–] espooge 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Well said. I'm stealing this.

$1000 is a plane ticket to most places in the world. A small patch of land. Two months rent or more

[–] ThirteenthZodiac 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

$1000

Two months rent or more

Uhh... that barely covers one month's rent for me.

[–] TheNumber13 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Smart kid, we can only occupy one room at any given time.

[–] MyNameIsJacob 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Well the apartment I stay in is worth thousands per month but I only rent a room. :)

[–] freedumbz 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Where the fuck do you live where this is two months rent? A closet?

[–] MyNameIsJacob 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Barrel practically.

[–] Tsilent_Tsunami 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

One bedroom apartments [here] rent for $2100.+ a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2700.+

Not here, that's for sure.

[–] Mr_Wizard 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Yeah, was gonna say the same thing.

[–] speedisavirus 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Exactly. For someone working at, say Walmart, that likely covers housing for 2 months.

[–] MyNameIsJacob 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Covers three months for me. Guess where I work.

[–] Apathy 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Some of those rich politicians sold us out for a lot less.

[–] MyNameIsJacob 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

There are some things money can't buy my dear.

[–] robabo 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Sears, Macy's, Walmart, Sam's Club closing stores so all those wage earners will receive nothing from the great tax cut. What good is this tax give away to working poor and retired people who will see there income reduced when Medicare and Social Security is cut. The parasites are the rich and the politicians who have been coopted in to the wealthy class. No politician should make more then the median income of his constituency ( that is not the average but the real number of what the majority if his electors get) in the United States that is less than 50 grand. If they can't find housing in Washington we should put them up in public housing.

at 40 hours/week, it's equivalent of a $0.48/hour raise
