He should do more stuff about Obama's birth certificate to ensure his victory.

He put the criminals in those conditions because he said why should the criminals be treated in better conditions than our soldiers.

As far as the rotten food, I have a hard time believing because he'd be in jail for that.

The rotten food claim probably comes from the green bologna. It was oxidized surplus meat, not rotten. Prisons all over the country do the same thing.

We need to step-back and see what Trump is doing at the 5-D chess board.

Joe is too old, but Trump is drawing attention to this election. Even the people who once liked Joe know he is senile. Love that Trump style.

While I appreciate that cunts treatment of illegals, his mistreatment of the constitution makes him an auto-nope.

How did he mistreat the constitution? I fail to see anything.

Sorry, I was off getting surgery. Other folks responded while I was out though, so check theirs.

I apparently need to look this guy up. I only knew of him through his birther investigation.

Just searx his name plus the term "prisons", it was borderline cruel and unusual punishment. He brought back chain gangs in the middle of the Arizona desert and made inmates sleep in Korean War surplus tents. The only source of air conditioning was in a tent for showering and cooling down if you got sick from the heat. I'd say sure, if these guys were major offenders, but it was for minor crimes and shit. Imagine if a drunk in public landed you a month in that hell hole. Punishment doesn't really fit the crime in most cases, but that's just my opinion.

Advantages

  • He owes Trump and would probably be pretty good on key votes related to immigration.

Disadvantages

  • he's more than a decade too old. while i'm sure he's in good shape for his age, there's a realistic chance he could die in office.
  • his brand to many people is somewhere between "he's a harsh authoritarian" and "he's a racist"
  • him running would be a lightning rod that could be used against Trump at a critical time period for Trump to try and swing a few extra percentage of hispanic votes.

Conclusion

While Joe would probably be pretty loyal to Trump, I'm seeing a lot more negatives than positives. If Joe wants to help, he should volunteer to campaign for whoever Trump decides to support and help them out on immigration and crime related issues.

Flake is also a Republican, but that part won't matter because he is retiring anyway. There won't be an incumbent in the race.
