makes sense, the dart gun shows documented precedence. They probably have a "starbucks employee" who moves from store to store. What is digitalis derivative?

Foxglove flower plant. The plant produces a powerful toxin. In small amounts of the correct dosage, the toxin can be used to treat heart conditions. In the wrong dosage, it causes heart failure. Most herbalists don't fuck around with digitalis because it's a very very fine line and easy to kill by accident. Poisoners, on the other hand, can be far less precise.

Hmmm. Sci-hub seems to be down again. I was going to link a good white paper.

Digitalis is a plant. People discovered that eating the leaves of this plant will give you a heart attack and leave no trace of poisoning. But, Digitalis had a funny taste, so biochemists worked on figuring out how it worked, and retooled the drug until it was odorless, tasteless, and did the same thing.

EDIT: Here's a link to a paper on its synthesis https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0960894X97000395
