If the same people always pull the strings, and those same people happened to have influenced some sort of book that seems magical in it's ability to know what the future holds, it sure seems prophetic yet when you step back and see the man behind the curtain, of course it's the same. They know what works.

America has “an underlying culture, that has been passed down from Jerusalem, to Athens, to Rome, to London.

Jesus christ.

Also I love how Breitbart, being a jewish created outlet, is never going to tell you (((who))) created all these problems that they're talking about. Nope, just discuss the symptoms.

the cringe is so strong especially when you look at what zionism has done to the US. Its like shitting in someone's food plate and asking them why did that. Then again I've come to expect this type of gross hypocrisy from (((them))).

Nope, just discuss the symptoms.

The majority of the alt right and "alternative media" does that as well. And Trump.

Like it or not many, if not the majority, of Evangelicals in the US support Israel and its continued existence.

Bannon is correct. The Collapse of the Roman REPUBLIC which had become an empire prior to the Emperorship has all the same hallmarks of what we are seeing across the West today. Multinational Corporations and Interests = Patrician Class. The landed gentry effectively used the importation of slave labour to impoverish and displace the Roman citizen/farmer/soldier. Roman soldiers had their land confiscated or were brought to bankruptcy BECAUSE of their service to the state. The family farms once held by these normal citizens were, one by one, absorbed into larger farms worked by slaves. The owners were those that had gained power and influence in Rome. Many of these patricians were in the Senate! It was the very lawmakers responsible for the Republic who had become so corrupt that the entire system was warped to their benefit. And these Senators then used their power and land and slaves to create a patronage system whereby they effectively bribed the socially important people, the people who counted for something with the plebs, so as to amass even more power. On and on.

These oligarchs ultimately destroyed the civilian army by impoverishing the Roman public thus leading to the formation of private armies lead by paymasters, people with the wealth to guarantee payment for military service. And that then leads to the Generals capturing the Republic and the formation of the Emperorship. From that comes the importation of barbarian tribes to act as muscle for the defense of those that were wealthy enough.

This lasts for a couple centuries but you can see how the public loses any notion of a common bond or sense of loyalty to the state or patriotism. The Roman virtue of fidelity to one's duty and neighbors collapses. The very notion that there are "barbarians", non Romans to be defended against, loses all meaning when the most powerful people import slaves and uses foreign mercenaries as their private armies.
Roman culture, the traditions that define the various Latin peoples of the peninsula, collapses. There is no longer an "Us and them" for there is no "Us". There is just chaos and the law of the jungle in the end.

That is actually what the decline and collapse of the Republic and then Empire stem from. It begins with the undermining of the Roman Citizenry and their role in the economy, democratic process and military service.

In other words, everyone agreed ''God'' or ''The state'' superseded all private property and citizens and thus those who owned ''the god'' or ''the state'' could take everything on its behalf. Wtf do you think happens with a population that tolerates and preaches the necessity of legalized plunder? Morons. Shall. be Wiped clean. of the Earth.

I'm a student of Roman history. He is only partially correct. We aren't an empire which you noted. However, You are smashing too many periods together and trying to make an argument of it. It's close, but we haven't entered the pure empire period and we may never. It could end up being something completely new. A corporate military arm to a multi-national structure. Similar to Easy India for the British.

Also Roman aristocracy is dissimilar to US oligarchy. The weight of the army itself crushed Rome and forced conquest. The Army was needed for the period because of their neighbors. Carthage was initiating that growth. The dilution of the noble class did lead to bringing in lower class or non-citizens. Machiavelli is great at explaining that transition in his "on war" book.

I'm a student of Roman history.

An appeal to expert knowledge? Already? Before you even presented your counter history? If you have some insights that you think I did not spell out in my SHORT couple paragraphs, then please do make them. But don't lead with a fallacious appeal to your credentials as a "student".

A corporate military arm to a multi-national structure.

But what does that REALLY mean? I think that the Roman parallel could be described just like that.

The Barbarians from so called Roman era were the Visigoths, Vandals and Vikings. They were merely called Barbarians because they weren't Roman. The ones flooding now are more less Parasitic Unternemsch.

The root problem is the same. Rome declined because it lost its racial and cultural unity. It was corrupted from within and eroded from without, and the Roman people didn't have the sense of oneness, which comes from a shared heritage, a shared set of customs and beliefs, as well as a shared religion that is devoutly observed, that they needed to oppose these destructive influences.
