Wow i wonder if anyone has ever served under an openly pro communist Commissioned Officer? Well i guess they would get kicked out because these ideas are banned while in uniform.

Not much of a direct answer but I have wondered about one American Hero for many years. The USMC has a phrase, Gung Ho which for us Marines means to be highly motivated. It is Chinese and it's Marine Corps history stems from BGen Evans Carlson who helped to establish one of the first US special forces, Carlson's Raiders. Prior to the war with Japan he spent some time as a Military Attache to the Chinese Communist fighting in China and was very much influenced by their training and beliefs. He did nothing to hide that influence going so far as to openly incorporate some of it into the training of his elite unite. As to the question of his personal political beliefs I can not say. But without a doubt the Commies have had a strong influence in our Military for many decades. BGen Carlson is rightly considered a national hero and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

He probably did this intentionally as a way to skip out on his requirement to serve 5 years as an officer. If they force him out he'll have gotten a top-notch education courtesy of US taxpayers instead of having to pay for it via service (or being billed).

Being "forced out" of the military isn't a good look. And I'd expect some kind of requirement to pay back the money if you violate the terms and conditions.

The question I have is what idiot Congressmen vouched for this scumbag to get into West Point?

I had a Congressman vouch for my son to get into a military academy. They don't know you, they just look at your record and compare it to all other applicants. If you're a secret communist, or idiot, they don't know that.

I have herd of those who were not given such carte blanche treatment but those are just stories to me and I have no proof. I would even be willing to bet there are those members of Congress who will not recommend anyone who supports Freedom. Personally I see this issue as just another example of some of our Congress members signing papers they don't read or take seriously and that has to stop. Congrats on your Son's recommendation, I wish him the best.

I don’t think that the Army makes decisions based on people calling them on the phone. If that was the case the. Ietnam War would have ended a lot sooner. Just saying. To get anything done there has to be more posts about this on Voat. That is where all of the real influence is.
