Letting ANYONE vote from welfare is suicidal.

[–] Marou 0 points 27 points (+27|-0) ago

This is the correct answer. Beggars can't be choosers.

This is essentially the jist of the "democratic plantation" and why it is so unjust. Welfare recipients are vote slaves. Democrats literally get to create a purchased democratic bias, but the enraging part, is they get to buy themselves vote slaves with your tax dollars that you earn. So they get to oppose your values, but steal your money to buy their plantation slaves. Its the most corrupt system.

[–] blatantdisrespect 2 points -2 points (+0|-2) ago

lol oooohh poor baby, are the big mean democrats voting to let gays marry and pass out amnesty and NEETbux make your widdle fee fees hurt?

[–] CuntReckTheRecord 1 points 6 points (+7|-1) ago

Yup, if you are not contributing, you shouldn't get a say.

[–] The_Red_Kraken 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

You might be on to something. Give welfare recipients that are not too handicapped to work the choice between forced labor (doing public works) or loosing the right to vote.

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.”

Haven't giant corporate elites been doing this for a long time?

[–] Ajaxofbarbaria 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Still relevant.

There's no reason why you can't have a generous [immigrant] work program

Yes, there is a reason: labor surplus putting Americans out. We do not need immigrant labor. Also he seems to be confused here. If they are in a WORK PROGRAM i.e. they are WORKING how are they on welfare? Either they're committing fraud(great reason to send them home!) or their employer is scum(and this case also would prove my point about a labor surplus, as wages being depressed below poverty level are a result of that.)

This statement reads like a champagne libertarian making a confused and convoluted effort to whine about how evil poor people are on the coattails of another topic entirely. I thought Ron Paul was better than that?

[–] murraryrothbard [S] 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I think you read that wrong. He didn't mean immigrant workers and immigrants on welfare being the exact same thing. He was saying you can have a work program BUT letting them vote OR letting immigrants vote from welfare...is suicidal.

[–] jbnunez 2 points -2 points (+0|-2) ago

We probably do in the short term need immigrant labor. The reason is because many rely on welfare instead of work. Funny thing is those people who rely on welfare should realize that increasing welfare rolls will limit what they get both in terms of dollars and pushing prices up for them. Thats why I laugh when I see poor folk saying they want more poor folk coming into the country.

[–] 542345 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

We definitely don't need any more unskilled immigrant labor. 15% of our population has less than 70 IQ and wouldn't even be qualified to work at McDonald's. Cut all welfare and put those idiots back to work! They can pick the trash from the highways or pick the fruit from the fields. They get paid 45k a year to sit on their ass and collect welfare. Its time we bring them back into society and make them earn their keep.

[–] RoBatten 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

We already have a lot of citizens who either can't find work or are underemployed.

[–] murraryrothbard [S] 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Do poor people really want more poor people coming into the country? Even a welfare queen has to see that as competition.

Yeah I've read this paragraph a few times and i still don't know what the fuck this cunt is trying to say. Ron Paul is supposed to be a communications major, what a fucking retard. No wonder the establishment never attacks him, he's completely senile, he's probably the definition of a pied piper candidate that they thought trump was going to be. Ron also doesn't believe the wall will work and he thinks it's a waste of money. So even if he's not an elite, he might as well be, he's just as fucking stupid.

Maybe you should read more.

‘Bread and Circuses’ is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for which there is no cure. Democracy often works beautifully at first. But once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader—the barbarians enter Rome.” -- Robert Heinlein.

[–] no-hurry-no-pause 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite

Even of we limit democracy only to producers, some of those producers will lose elections and some will win.

And then the losers will try to cheat in the next elections. And the easiest way to cheat is to bring in new voters who will likely vote for you. And the easiest way to make sure they vote for you is to pay them for voting. And the easiest way to pay them is if they have nothing.

Isn't that the entire point of welfare? Keep around a bunch of weaklings who will never have political power to vote in the politicians promising gibbs?

More or less, protection for those who cannot protect themselves but did not die due to natural predators

[–] cattarhero 1 points 3 points (+4|-1) ago

The fact that niggers have been allowed to do just that for generations proves his point. When LBJ signed the 1964 "buy the nigger vote" bill, he is quoted as saying, "The dumb niggers will vote Democrat for the next 200 years after I sign this."

[–] Eleutheria 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I thought it was "I'll have these niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years", though the sentiment is the same.

Either way, don't bring the quote up to liberal friends, unless you don't plan to keep them. They'll accidentally kick you from their circle amidst all of the mental gymnastics they perform rationalizing the quote.

[–] ardvarcus 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

That's the word that best describes the liberal culture -- suicidal.
