If you have a Debian Linux Distro all you have to do is "sudo apt-get install youtube-dl". Once installed you bring up your command line type in "youtube-dl (VIDEO URL HERE) and it will download the video straight to your hard drive. there is a GUI version, I have not used it myself. Also, not all videos download. Some are protected like Black Pigeon's videos that are hidden from public by google. If you just want the audio you type in "youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 -L (VIDEO URL HERE) and it will strip just the audio in .mp3 formate (or whatever format you choose that is available) there are a ton more commands, but you will have to find them on your own. just search youtube-dl commands in your non-google search engine. I do it for the video I like to watch to keep the advertisers from getting ad click revenue because I usually donate directly to the content maker. I'm not paying twice for the same media. If you need anything else I will try to help but I'm an old cantankerous fucker and would rather argue with nigger lovers and jew apologist.
