Like that time where they claimed the Syrian government
had nuclear WMDsgassed it's own people. Which was then used as a justification to blow up a Syrian government held airbase?[–] [deleted] 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

And lets ignore the fact they these are the fuckers who claimed Assad gassed his people not too long before that either, which of, turned out to be total bullshit back then as well. In fact I seem to recall that there was considerable evidence that it was the rebels who were using chemical weapons at that time, then tried to pin it on Assad.

What's the story there? Don't pay much attention to user names, but have recently seen that user saying odd stuff. Also seems logic-challenged, as in fallacy is their argument style.

They kinda did though. Unless took control of assad's silos and gassed themselves - actually i think that is the counter narrative.

I seem to recall anti-Assad troops boasting about having chemical weapons now, and even a clip on the news where they gassed mice and said they would gas Assad's forces. Let me see if I can find it or if it has become one of those news clips that get shown a few times then kinda disappear once the narrative changes

The first time around Obama got utterly humiliated by his promise to put boots on the ground if a chemical attack was faked. The missile salvo Trump threw not only short circuited any claims he was just standing by, but was also so ineffectual it didn't even set the Syrian government back in any meaningful capacity(the runways were repaired within a day or two).
