The argument was such bullshit to

'the international community should share in the internet'

Ummm, 1st ammendment keeps any speech they have online no matter what they say as long as it abides by the laws in their country. All they would be able to do is ban specific.... oh.

They probably won't start outright censoring more normie-friendly stuff but with enough time and patience this will slowly spread.

Unfortunately as long as Trump's hands are full with the media and the shitfest of Antifa vs Nazi clashes this won't even show up in his radar. And I'm 100% certain the only reason they started doing this is because of that retard who killed that fat cunt. The alt-right really fucking should keep their morons in check. They should fucking KNOW that showing up with fucking nazi flags and chanting white is basically giving the lunatic left free reign to publicly shit all over them. And most people will fucking NOT side with whatever camp is waving a nazi flag.

If they don't get their act together and start going with a more moderate stance while separating themselves from those larpers this is going to bolster the "alt-left".

And no I am not saying americans shouldn't be allowed to wave w/e flag they want. They should just know the consequences for that action, ESPECIALLY when the guys opposing them are using this excuse to censor everyone else. Pewdiepie had to come out and publicly distance himself from this heap of shit. This is not going to help anyone.

And I'm 100% certain the only reason they started doing this is because of that retard who killed that fat cunt. Yep, America shows its true racism. One white woman dies and it is the biggest tragedy on earth.

The alt-right really fucking should keep their morons in check. Alt-right is controlled opposition, pay attention. The organizer of that rally was an occupy/ cnn reporter, protesters were shipped in from BERKELY etc. So even if trump-supporters somehow really did organize and centralize with a "controlling" authority, the alt-left would just stage false flags to smear them and make them look bad with agent provocateurs etc.

I've been looking at the Stormer for 2 years now and can say I am damn sorry that you didn't have a chance to see it as it should be. The number of laugh out loud moments I get are incredible. The articles are great and the comment section for each of them most times is even greater. This is where the best shit lords from 4 chan and everywhere else end up and you can tell. They are working on setting up the comment section now for the dark web site so things should be back to normal but with a bit less traffic for now. Spread the word, get the dark net tor browser set up on your computer and enjoy.

The solution he proposes is that the government needs to regulate the private companies that are all collaborating to keep him off the internet. Sorry, but this is not the solution -- it assumes the government is on his side and will remain on his side.

The solution is a freer market. If the market can be said to be relatively free now and all the organizations out there are joining together to stop him, then it should at least be possible for alternatives to these organizations to be started, either by this guy or people he knows, and have them provide the services he requires. If the government, potentially through collusion with these other organizations, is preventing other organizations that would support him from starting up, then that is the issue here.

There is no sense in permanently discarding what freeness remains in our marketplace so that a website might be able to exist by forcing businesses to support it, when those same businesses might in 4 or 8 years be obliged by the same government we have given regulating control to not support that website.

The problem is that monopolies take over and you end up with a situation like Youtube today. So Youtube starts out and becomes the number 1 video site in the world. Okay, good on them and the free market. Now Google comes along and buys them up. Google operates Youtube at a loss of billions of dollars. Youtube itself is no longer profitable but the parent company still has lots of money to run it with a loss.

So now if you want to start up a video sharing site you are not going to win using the free market. Think back 100 years ago with the phone companies. Imagine if private phone companies got their monopolies, consolidated and then started listening in on all the phone calls and deciding which people or households they will no longer provide phone service to since they didn't like what was being said.

The jews are like this. You have a democratic government and then they slowly buy up all the politicians and everything else that influences the government. But you have the right to vote for who ever you want don't you? Yeah right.

This is a flaw with capitalism generally -- because capitalism is inherently free. Of course the solution is NOT to replace it with communism, because that is infinitely worse. The solution is in restoring morality to our society -- so that businesses act morally and the people only pay moral businesses. A big task, but one that would fix most of the issues with our society. Capitalism does what it is meant to, but bad things can still happen within the capitalist framework while we remain immoral.

In 2017, I would do this in a heartbeat. Some dissent is fine, when it's genuine. We're now seeing "dissent" which is really an attempt to destroy our country, and ultimately, us.

You miss the point completely. Government is bound by the legal system to uphold the constitution. If you want free speech, government-regulated marketplaces is in fact the best way to make that happen. In your absolutely free market, some jerk billionaire just buys up all the companies that handle domain registration for example and makes it impossible for competition to get their speech to the public.

Once a multibillion conglomerate captures a market that's it it is over. No more real competition. UNLESS you call in the government to break up the monopoly. Free market purists are just signing their own rights away to be captured by conglomerates.

In a way you're right. Free markets are desirable for maximum liberty, but with liberty comes responsibility, and that responsibility includes morality. We need a nation with a single and united culture, one that respects its fellow people one that will not pursue monopolies in the first place and one whose people will not fund monopolies when they form. Without that pure freedom will fail.

Rather than surrender our liberties to either corporations or governments, I would sooner surrender them to neither. I'd instead persuade those I speak with to embrace a moral principle, a dedication to our people, so that we can defeat all those who seek to deprive.

Daily stormer's solution was more regulation? Wow. That's all the evidence I need to confirm what Infowars said, daily stormer is funded by globalists to be the opposition party, that's why they helped promote Richard Kessler as the leader of this alt right movement. Kessler is a white guy Obama supporter that has YouTube videos of himself 6 months ago reading his anti white poetry at a slam poetry event.

The government is legally bound by the constitution, thus everything they control must respect your constitutional rights. If you just advocate an absolutely free market then big conglomerates capture the market with their billions of dollars and block out new entrants to ensure their monopoly, UNTIL government steps in and breaks them up so that new entrants can enter the market and reestablish competition.

Yeah, this very well may have been a false flag. Important thing is not to fall for his traps of "more regulation!"; focus on freedom of all forms and we'll prevail.

Yeah, I don't know why he didn't call for someone to start a hosting service that would host that site. More government intervention/power isn't the answer. If he can't find anyone willing to host it than that is also the free market at work as well. While I support free speech the loss of this website doesn't sadden me at all.

[–] 10246331? 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

The only reason that site's fall concerns me is what it might mean for the future. Slippery slope and all that. Looks like a lot of these services are using statements taken out of context to justify taking the website down. The same could easily be done to Voat one day. If there is collusion going on to kill that site, we need to unearth it, if only to protect Voat.

Little rule of thumb I have that easily explains these people's seemingly illogical behavior: Articulate white supremacist = leftist spy.

That's why they march around with torches (stupid) at rallies called "Unite the Right" in the wake of the greatest right-wing unity EVER. This whole theater piece is an attack to shatter the right. False flags that paint Nazis and white supremacists as typical right-wingers are used so that cowards attempt to distance themselves from the Nazis by augmenting their stances to fend off the Left's favorite labels, "nazi", "racist", stupid etc after stupid etc. This article in particular is trying to twist peoples' logic into supporting central government control of speech - HELLO ASSHOLES!!!!! Truth is, nobody who has internalized American values and who understands the Constitution would ever begin to consider this a good idea. To me, this is the dead giveaway.

The Daily Stormer is run out of the Pentagon. IT is a psyop with the goal of discrediting, dismantling, and confusing classically liberal and conservative people so that censorship and totalitarianism seem necessary.

imo this is a remarkably similar case to the one where the cake shop owner doesn't want to make cakes for gay weddings.

Both are instances of entities not wanting to spread speech of a certain type.

I'm a cynic but I don't think the West will ever become more conservative. It's been a nonstop liberal advancement since at least the 1940s. The West will be libtarded until it is destroyed. We're at a point where people can be arrested in certain nations for abiding by biological markers for gender.

I've explained this to people celebrating thinking it was just go daddy. Then I explained what ICANN does, and that the NGO that owns them now is basically the UN. If they give me push back still saying why shouldn't the UN regulate I remind them that the UN tried to ban blasphomey and saying mean things to women from the internet and thats when they do a double take realizing the media is playing them and not giving them the full story. It's "muh web host boo hoo" it's "I am literally banned from the internet"
