This is a point the both ALTs have to learn. You have to let BLM spew their shit message too. I know it sucks and what not but to enjoy your own free speach you have to suck it up.

Most are fine with BLM or Antifa going around yelling their ideas. The problem however is that every time they have a demonstration there is either assault, property damage, or theft that occurs.

Edit: And they walk in the roads and fuck with traffic.

This is what needs to be targeted and not their views.

Support their ability to rant and rave but call out the illegal activities.

Mainstream moderates can be red pilled but it has to be done on the sly.

Because nobody pays attention to their fucked up rhetoric.

or they stand in the middle of the fucking road and cause panic and delays.

also they dont have a permit.

your first amendment right does not prevent you from breaking the law. you can't claim right violation because you were removed for breaking the law.

I don't know of anyone on the alt-right saying BLM shouldn't be allowed to speak...Most just point out the double standards and their violence.

[–] WhiteRonin 1 points 0 points (+1|-1) ago

So do you see them defending that right?

I hate the double standards too and thus why I can't fully support the alt-right. Fuck the left, I'll never go that way.

Give me one example of a legal protest/lecture that was stopped by the "alt-right". There might be one somewhere, but i haven't heard of it.

As someone else pointed out, no one gives a fuck about their message, and that is why they don't do "legal", they need to break laws to be noticed, and the (((city governments))) don't go after them in the same way. could you imaging nationalists blocking traffic and breaking windows? it's almost laughable.

That doesn't matter when you run around pretending to be Nazis.

Oh ok. Blame somebody else for your feels. Take them to court -- be smart!

If course Nationalist wouldn't break windows like chimps. They believe in a strong country and those actions only hurt those who shouldn't.

The far right is loosing ... It's not gaining the popular view and it doesn't know how to play the game on top of this it's falling into the tramp the far left has laid out in plain sight.

The problem is that anything the left doesn't like is branded as hate speech and they get violent about it. The left lacks understanding of what free speech is. Free speech is not a "speech" that everyone agrees on. We are not a society of robots having the same opinion about everything. Some opinions suck, while other don't. But freedom of speech, thought and expression are three most basic human rights. What is the point of being alive if you can't express yourself. Furthermore, it seems everything is done to infantilize adults. Safe spaces were the worst thing ever invented in collages. You can't live in a bubble forever.

I agree with your points and I've repeated pushed for free speech.

It's Great that you can blame the left for all these things. But you are missing my argument.

The far right has to get smarter.

Saying "I'm offended" is free speech too

I don't think I've ever met an "alt-righter" who told BLM and antifa they don't have a right to speak. I've only seem them criticize their message or the people delivering it. Am I missing something? I don't see right wing websites calling for these far left organizations to lose their right to speech.

Voat needs to be reminded of this as well. You have CCP-based censorship actively throttling dissenting opinions on a website that is supposed to be a bastion of free speech.

Disclaimer: If we’re conversing, I will soon fall silent. I may want to continue, but because my views are unpopular here I have less than 100 CCP, and am temporarily banned as soon as I make 10 comments in a day. Voat does not respect free speech, but I'm grateful for recent comments stating an intention to improve things.

It's firstly done to deal with spam as el_cordoba2 pointed out. But it's also a good metric to view feedback. Else comments that now get 40 or more likes would have to get replied to 40 times all basically agreeing with the comment.

Maybe besides likes and dislike there should be a third separate metric which could act as the spam limiter but as it is now receiving negative feedback does imply limiting yourself. Although truth be told while I personally lean more to the left than most people here I don't really get dislikes. It's probably because the left is pretty indefensible now and with it's direct attack on free speech I am much more open to hearing right leaning people out.

About the only thing I heavily disagree with a lot of people here is the collectivist worship of identity politics with the switched sides/races. I know it's a reaction to the left's obsession with minorities but I don't think most moderates are gonna stick with this new wave of rightwing politicians if the they start spouting whites first or europeans only. A bit of nationalism is IMO actually really needed this day and age in both North America and Europe. Be proud of your heritage and call out the left for discriminating between races. BUT don't treat fellow black or hispanic citizens worse just because their are different. Blanket discrimination will almost always lead to the loss of popular support for whichever side uses it.

CCP restrictions are ineffective regarding spam, see my comment here. I don't have anything against up/downvotes, related ordering of website content or the mere act of reporting of a CCP score. I object to using the CCP score to censor unpopular users.

Keeping away spam is not an easy thing to do. The 100 ccp limit is meant to fix that, but people down vote things they don't agree with.

You seem to acknowledge that CCP restrictions are ineffective at keeping spam away. See my comment here for further discussion.

captcha check is on some posts. Put that on accounts with negative ccp, problem solved. But @smallpond is right, voat.co can't claim to be a free speech site and throttle anyone that doesn't agree with the voat hive mind. I usually have to ignore replies because of the ridiculous 10 comments a day limit. But most of voat are happy with it because they don't want to hear anything they disagree with. @PuttItOut and @atko seem to be happy with this throttling too. I don't even bother with the voating buttons because 99% of the time I can't do it cos of bad ccp
