I thought Google fucking up the search results by outright censoring search results, ommiting them or simply burying relevant results on page 132 was something people got used to by now. I believe I first witnessed Google censorship as early as 2009 when they started hiding video game forum searches for EA games where people shat on them for being terrible. I even remember some Dragon Age Origins posts around the web that could only be found using search engines other than Google. Even sites like The Escapist were affected by this bullshit.

This is a solid fucking study, too. It's well crafted and not dodgy or full of bullshit, hard one to deny. Nice to see people genuinely looking deep at Google's fuckery

They finally did it for something that matters though. So now its a problem. Instead of it being a problem when it we could of prevented it.

ya know! the only reason google surpassed the other search engines was because they didn't pull bullshit like that in the first place.

Can you dig up some old forum posts of people talking about the Google censorship? /v/KotakuInAction might be interested to know this has been going on for that long.

It's time to break google up. And while we're at it Comcast and AT&T could use a dose of antitrust attention as well.

I will give you the problem and unfortunately do not have the solution.

Right now google is so big they can just purchase any other search engine that isn't already compromised. Bing is compromised, duckduckgo was bought by google, I use startpage but who knows.

There are alternatives to comcast and at+t which are well known. Other than the deep web all the search engines that can give genuine results are cucked. The only way to fuck google is to stop searching.

duckduckgo was bought by google

What? When did this happen? I looked at the wiki page and it doesn't mention anything about them being bought by google.

Google would have you think so. I think they changed it so if you looked up Santorum the top result was that it means a frothy mix of lube and cum.
