This is so bad, I couldn't even watch it all, it's certainly cringeworthy... as a mother, I am lost for words that a woman could be so immature...

she didn't even know that men couldn't breastfeed... ? What..?

The best part is at the end when she says that the human species survived throughout history because men were feeding their babies formula.

Honestly just letting this sink in, I'm fucking scared that someone could think such things. This is a literal, in-your-face display of 1984 style thinking. This is why feminism's slide into full blown madness must be pushed back and shown to be the delusional anti-logical cult of the subversion of all reality that it is. Feminists today are just future mental institution residents in the making, so don't let people you care about do feminism.

My response was so "reeled in" I had to muster a lot of self control with that one...

The truth is breastfeeding can be hard and it is time consuming for sure, some women do not produce enough breastmilk so have to rely on formula, thats ok though, just source that formula properly as many are really bad for children.

In the old days, goats milk watered down, almond milk or even the breast milk from another mother in the community would sustain the baby for those innitial weeks. Breastmilk provides the child with natural immunity and growth stimulation... What she is arguing is supposed to be a personal conversation with her husband as to how things will work. Her attitude stinks so much, at the moment it would be hard for her to find a loving husband. And she is fueling the unbalancing of natural and personal relationships. Its demonic in its plainest sense.

Breastfeeding doesn't come naturally to women.

Stopped watching right there. Anybody who understands basic biology knows that lactation and feeding come naturally to every single mammal on planet earth, otherwise we wouldn't fucking be here. How this mental midget can even have a platform is quite honestly shocking. If people are really listening to people like her we have already passed the event horizon into full blown Idiocracy.

Breastfeeding, itself, is fine. It's these exhibitionist "lactivists" who make a BFD and whip out their tits in public places just to start a commotion and get attention for the Internet. They tend to be of the same mentality as the "free the nipple" types who don't or won't understand that there are innate biological and neurological differences between men and women. Women's boobs are obviously more visible because they, well, protrude. Men are visual creatures, and yes, they're going to react to that. Don't want catcalls, put on a shirt.

And yet, in its own way the free the nipple campaign is hypocritical: Women claim not to want sexual attention from men when they take off their shirts and bras underneath. But don't women get all hot and bothered by shirtless men? And don't women judge by "body standards" the same way men do? Most everyone is going to be grossed out if Rebel Wilson or Chris Christie went around topless. So how is it "rape culture" for men to ogle, say, Gigi Hadid, Pamela Anderson, or even Melania Trump, when there are pages upon pages on the Internet dedicated to women objectifying Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Tom Brady, etc. -- and being a male stripper ("for charity" of course) won Justin Trudeau a fucking national election???

I'm just asking for consistency here. But wait -- I'm asking it of a feminist. Never mind.

Dont worry all the crazy bitches going topless to makea point (wahtever that might by) wont hear too many cat calls, thats why they are doing it in the first place.

Crazy eyes and so much twitching.

Breast milk is natural, but there are alternatives to it if a woman can't produce any physically. Not because they're selfish and are willing to put their career before their child's health. If someone is so egocentric they don't want to put the time and effort in to raise a child don't have one. It's not a duty or a burden, but an act of love. Breastfeeding is natural!!!

[–] AOU 1 points 5 points (+6|-1) ago

It's not a duty or a burden, but an act of love.

That's technically not the right answer. It's all about the survival of our genes.

Formula would still provide the infant with sustenance, breastfeeding would require actually bonding with the infant and taking time out of the day or "pumping" for busy mom's that still want to give their child breast milk. Procreation would lead to bloodline surviving. It's how infant is reared that would assure quality. I'm really sleepy, sorry if I'm rambling.

[–] apostle_s 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

It's an act of the Creator who made women so that they are able to provide sustenance for their babies.

"Love" is the chemical inducement to survival, in this context.

OMFG this shit was hilarious! In response to Tucker asking "how did the human species survive for the last millenia if breastfeeding isn't natural, she said "this breastfeeding phenomenon has just started in the past ten years and before that, men were feeding babies with formula."

Just gone - the logic of the Left. I don't understand how they come to be so impervious to logic.

They have been very carefully and selectively brainwashed - like a computer, they have been programmed - and now their neural pathways are hardwired to these incorrect responses. They are literally broken people who have to be deprogrammed in order to return to productive society. Surprisingly, we ourselves are among the red pill corps that do that deprogramming - a valuable public service.

Didn't you know, thousands of years ago if women didn't want to breastfeed they would just go down to their local bodega and pick up some Gerber baby formula, warm it in the microwave, and feed it to their kids.

Oh mother fuck. The liberals have jumped the shark. Next up... Childbirth, is that natural for a woman? Is she even a woman, don't impose a gender on her...

0
2

[–] prairie 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Childbirth imposes a huge burden on the poor woman. Her body is ravaged, and then she has to devote dozens of hours a week for years to this dependent being. It's awful to put such a burden on a woman. /s

She sounds like someone who doesn't have a spine so instead of just saying no to people wanting her to do things, she feels she has to stop anyone from ever suggesting anything factual, so that she doesn't feel guilty for saying no.

I used to think that Carlson invited the lowest of the low-hanging fruit onto his show only to demolish them (and I assume they agree to go on his show because they think they have a good case to make), but what's printed in Pediatrics is dead serious. According to the Scimago Journal & Country Rank's index, Pediatrics published 760 articles in 2015 alone, and all of its published articles have received nearly 26,000 citations, with almost half (12,800) in the last 3 years.

Here's the article in question. This article in turn cites another, entitled, "Effects of breastfeeding on obesity and intelligence: causal insights from different study designs", the results of which seem nothing if not equivocal (The full text is behind a paywall but one might get around that using sci-hub.ac, for instance).

These people are simply playing word games. They don't care about the health or wellbeing of newborns; they're ideologues. From the article in question which Tucker is criticizing:

Coupling nature with motherhood, however, can inadvertently support biologically deterministic arguments about the roles of men and women in the family (for example, that women should be the primary caretakers of children). Referencing the “natural” in breastfeeding promotion, then, may inadvertently endorse a controversial set of values about family life and gender roles, which would be ethically inappropriate.

These are the same people who would otherwise extol the virtue of anything and everything "natural". Neither "nature" nor any of its products are a binary good-or-evil, but "natural" breastfeeding has worked out pretty well for quite a long time and has a demonstrably better record than relying on baby formula, so it's ironic that the far left is essentially saying that breastfeeding is problematic in Pediatrics.

[–] KoKansei 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

It is very disturbing that a journal of record for the US medical establishment would publish such nonsense. Maybe I should ask my pediatrician what they think of a mainstream pediatrics journal publishing something like this.

[–] largozor 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

...there's a whole industry out there, so breastfeeding isn't exactly natural, it doesn't come naturally to women...

Nek minnit

...it's ok to hand the formula over to daddy, to the men, and it's natural for a man to feed a baby

So it's not natural for women to breastfeed, but it's natural for men to feed babies artifically produced formula via a bottle manufactured by humans... this is so stupid it hurts.

[–] pfb 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Towards the end of the video she says something like "this breast feeding phenomenon the last ten years". I get the impression that's too many women doing it according to her. Makes me wonder why formula only babies are important to leftists besides family/societal breakdown. I wonder what else it correlates to.

The medical establishment should be horribly embarrassed by what that journal wrote. It is just plain bad medicine: the sacrifice of patient wellbeing on the altar of ideology. It is inexcusable.
