In high school whenever there was a pizza party I would ask my teacher for the leftovers to bring home. One time, I got the leftover pizza at lunch. Half a Little Caear's cheese pizza and 4 breadsticks. I was literally shaking with happiness, pizza was such a rare occasion for me and it was my absolute favorite food. I took the city bus to my college class with the box on my lap. It sat next to me during class, people questioned me. I didn't really know what to tell them. I was embarrassed. Another bus ride home. 2 mile walk to the front door. I had been waiting for this all day. I put it in the oven and called my brothers and sisters from their rooms. I was so happy to give them each a breadstick and a slice of pizza. I had carried that big, greasy box around for 6 hours just for them. They were 4, 6, 8, and 10. I didn't get a slice but I was so happy that they had some. We could never afford pizza and it was a really special treat. The 6 year old gave me her crust. That's my favorite part. I remember going into my room, sitting on my bed, a mattress on the floor with no sheets, and crying while eating my crust. Now I remember that all my furniture was cardboard boxes. My nightstand, my bookshelf, my dresser...all boxes turned on their side or upside down. That was four years ago. I really want to go back and hug 16 yr old me and say things will get better. Not soon, and not by much, but it will happen. /- Edit: whoa thanks everyone :) I can get really down on myself sometimes and your kind words do really mean a lot. Unfortunately I don't get to see my siblings anymore. Incoming sobstory? January of last year I had to call the cops on my alcoholic, bipolar, abusive father because he was beating the two youngest ones and making them eat breakfast out of the trash one morning. He kicked me out and I was homeless until I graduated high school in May (as valedictorian, I'll have you know!) I am trying to get CPS involved but even with five mandated reporters there's still no case. I really miss my siblings. I used to FaceTime the one that gave me the pizza crust, but one day she stopped answering. I am no contact with my dad, so I have no way of contacting them. It breaks my heart. I've always tried to be the best sister I could be. I practically raised 3 out of my 7 younger siblings. They taught me a lot about what it means to share literally everything you have and get no privacy ever :)

Why not just say jewish?

[–] deretsigernu 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

He had to convince himself in a mirror "dog gone it, people like me" which he later turned into an allegedly-funny SNL skit.

I think calling him an unlikable cunt is being a little too nice.

How does he afford that off a senator's salary?

[–] Grifter42 0 points 15 points (+15|-0) ago

Bribes and graft.

[–] GrubMakesChub 0 points 10 points (+10|-0) ago

Senator's make $174,000 a year. Insider trading is essentially legal for them. And this asshole probably has SNL money squirrelled away.

I'm ashamed that he represents my state (I have to say that about a lot of my "representatives"). Hillary had an initiative in the early 2000s to support Democrats in state level Secretary of State elections. Mark Ritchie was a beneficiary of that initiative in MN. Ritchie allowed a close election (something like 300 vote difference, iirc) between Coleman and Franken to be stolen.

That ((( Tribal ))) Discount

[–] statik 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

You don't think he had some money from his time in the entertainment industry?

[–] SmokeyMeadow 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

He stole the senate election against Coleman by 312 votes. I say stole because it was discovered over one thousand ineligible felon voters were allowed to place their votes for him. At least 166 of those felons were convicted of illegally voting in that particular race, with more convictions pending from an ongoing investigation.

He's always had a face for politics.

Super surprised he has kids. He's bad enough, he's dumb enough and goddammit, people hate him.

He is also a friend of bulk surveillance by 3 letter folks of any spelling.
