I get the feeling they're waiting for things to boil over before they clean up the mess. It would give them an excuse to pick up some extra control, and maybe gain some new ways to utilize law enforcement. They might even feel better about calling for a constitutional convention once they've implemented the extra security.

Antifa and the police state have the same goals. half the cops dress up as "protesters" and the other half in riot gear and they deploy with the intentions of stopping whatever peaceful assembly was going on.

I doubt they work for Antifa, but if you go high enough up the chain of command, they're probably working for the same people as Antifa.

Apparently... The police asked the MAGA people to disarm (no pepper spray/sticks/knives) as a condition to the event for police protection and they obliged.

Then when the violence started they actually retreated to their vehicles where they remained while the rioting took place.

I think its less of a conspiracy, and more that cops understand how media bias works. They would be crucified if they did much of anything against antifa, because antifa gets payed by the same guys that pay the media.
