The term islamaphobia needs to be pushed against. It's an ideology and ideas deserve to be challenged. If it can't stand up to scrutiny about the contents of its texts which call for the demise and subjugation of all non-Muslims then it has no place in Western society.

I dearly wish that more politicians would reject all aspects of Islam. It has no place here.

It's place in western society is to be mocked, ridiculed, and despised.

Easy. If someone calls you islamaphobic, say "Don't be so fuckin ridiculous. A phobia is an IRRATIONAL fear." Works every fucking time.

You can believe whatever crazy shit you like. The moment it begins to affect anyone but the believer is when I have a problem.

Religious doctrine in government can fuck right off. And this pious arsehole reciting passages in the Senate needs to roll his neck in. Hence the senator kicking his ass about it.

Those rules only apply when your expression of freedom doesn't infringe on another person's freedoms. You don't have to like it. But the laws are there for a reason.

“Their belief flies in the face of our Constitution,” Lawson said afterward. “This is not our Bible, we should not be allowing them to pray from that book in our house, just as I do not believe I would be allowed to pray from my Bible in their house.”

Well said Senator, well said.

US is not a theocracy, and if it is it is an anti-religious theocracy. our bible is the constitution and the first amendment specifically states that the bible is not our bible. the face of our constitution very much protects the koran just as much as it protects the bible. if one is disallowed both should be disallowed. not that i advocate removal of religion. freedom of religion exists for a reason. and this despicable senator should be removed from office for violating his oath to protect the constitution.

The Senator is saying that if he can't preach then neither should anyone else. Thats a fair statement. Its why there's a separation between church and state.

McBride went on to say that Muslims serve in the military and as police and are doctors, professors and teachers.

Yeah, that's why our country is all kinds of fucked up. Subversion is a powerful strategy.

If islam was simply a religion that would be one thing, but islam includes a code of law which always works to supplant the laws of whichever country that they invade. We know what's going on, this is Voat, not that or any other place.

Welcome.

This gives me a good idea. When you see a bunch of pussyhats in a march, grab a Koran, walk with them, read from it with a megaphone.

“I have never been of the mind to censure the words of other members, but I also believe deeply that words have consequences,” McBride said, reading aloud from a statement.

I find it hard to believe there isn't a sinister cabal pushing our legislators into the hands of global islam. These bitches had a canned response ready and waiting to unleash on the first hombre that decided to speak up. Which beltway thinktank you think came up with that one?
