That wouldn't change anything. "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Fucking exactly. The clause in the beginning is descriptive / explanatory, not restrictive.

I put forth this information not to change, but to demolish the argument that the 2nd amendment was only for militias. Even if the 2nd amendment did mean that, which I dont believe it does, militias, as it was believed back then meant every able-bodied man.

Considering at the time immigration was restricted to whites.... and no one really thought of negroes as "people.."

It was pretty much only the English and French that qualified as people. No Irish, Italians, eastern Europeans, Germans, etc.

And it's not just firearms, ladies and gentlemen. It's all weaponry. Knives, swords, canons, nunchucks, brass knuckles, whatever. All weapons.

"If it were a question of having a Marine Corps of 5,000 whites or 250,000 Negroes, I would rather have the whites."

If they try to disarm men over 45 do we get to sue the government for being age-o-phobic?

Militia: Able-bodied men between ages 18-45
People: Citizens (of the USA)
Arms: Weapons, to include knives, guns, clubs, etc.
Free State: A large group of free individuals
Infringed: limit or undermine; encroach upon

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

Because an organized group of fighting men is necessary to protect the free people, the right to keep and bear weapons shall not be limited or undermined.

This is incorrect. Arms does not mean weapons. Arms does, however, include all weapons in use in a standing army.

As such, you're example is twice misleading.

What a culture difference. Within the World migrant militia movement, in some parts of the EU in 2016, an estimated 65% of migrant children were between the ages of 18-45. Trucks and hatchets are the weapon of choice for these kids to defend themselves against tourists, metro passengers and Christmas shoppers. (sarc)

Gun control advocates try to confuse the word militia with army. Militia refers to unpaid fighters. Army refers to professional fighters. Clearly the 2nd amendment exists to keep states free from professional armies that try to take away freedoms.
