This is the YoungCons reporting on the investigation into Russia interfering with US elections systems. They say there's not enough evidence to criminally charge people and that they didn't find encrypted communications with or money transferred between Russia nad the Trump campaign. On its face, this seems kind of narrow and blown up to fit a point.
They cited the Daily Caller. The daily caller says that there were no connections between the two on this issue, but that they did verify the Flynn connection and that he did talk about sanctions in a way that is illegal under the Logan act. Flynn did do the things he was harassed for and this investigation did find it.
They cited Circa. Circa tells more of the story. This wasn't focussed on Trump. They didn't find anything because they weren't investigating Trump. They were investigating Russia. In the process of that they still found this bit of dirt on a top Trump advisor, and that apparently created the impression they were also looking at Trump, but they weren't at all.
So this doesn't really prove anything.

What they found on Flynn was extremely minor:
This hardly rises to the level of breaking the Logan act. And, as you point out, while most of this information wasn't specifically targeted at Trump you can bet your last dollar that every intercept, etc, was poured over by political operatives. If there had been anything there it would have been plastered all over the front page of the NYT.
Really, Trump and his campaign staff are clean, pure and simple.

Isn't the Logan Act the one that the government violates all the time and they've prosecuted it like once?
