Of course I know why they did it to her specifically. But my question stands because I wasn't getting at the issue this time. Who she is shouldn't matter to the principle involved. I'd really like them to explain why doxing someone would ever be necessary in an article. It seems like they should have a rule that you simply do not put that type,of personal information in a story (about anyone) unless it was actually required for the story itself.

They do have that rule, but it only applies to people that they like.

Rules are for others to follow, not for them.

I asked a reporter friend about the double standard before when I saw a minor being interviewed without a parent's permission. I thought that used to be a no no. He admitted it depends on WHOS kid it is.

They know her email? They can try that email and common passwords on ANY SITE in the world to see if she already has an account anywhere. Also, anyone can sign her up for any sort of porn, scams, email viruses, democratic propaganda.... This means war.
