I think there were all kinds of people who were absolutely dead-set on Hillary winning. One of my super liberal, super feminist English professors carefully and very obviously planned a whole week's worth of pro-feminist lessons leading up to the election. She covered women's rights, gender inequality, suffrage, it was clearly all designed around the grand finale and triumph of all that female oppression: Hillary's election.
Whoops.
Shit was hilarious. It was so painfully obvious she was fully expecting a Hillary victory, she was shellshocked that day, and started sort of quietly mumbling about us witnessing the birth of a new fascist regime. Oh, college. I'm sure I had a grin on my face ten miles wide that whole lesson.

Hahaha, oh wow. Reading your post, I've never been more glad that Hillary lost. We dodged the mother of all bullets. And you're right, there's a ton of these femishit lefties who would have creamed their dungarees at the sight of the first female vagina to win America's presidency. Imagine the "we president now" meme, but with colored hair and bad glasses. I'm literally shuddering.
But hey, your prof can always study Sweden's awesome and successful first feminist government. Never mind the skyrocketing incidents of rape and immigrant crime. They all wore burkas, that's pretty feminist by modern standards.

Yeah I actually got in that very argument in another English class just a few days ago, we were workshopping a classmate's essay, which was all about hating and rejecting his own masculinity and how he was craving feminism but could never fully take part of it because, reluctant or not, by his gender he was a part of the patriarchy and white, so he could only speak from a place of white privilege (seriously, exactly that).
But we got into a debate about the cultural benefits of feminism and I casually mentioned that nutcase psycho woman leading the DC women's marches who is a fierce advocate for sharia law in America, followed by the cucked feminist government of Sweden licking Iran's boots with those hijabs, and finally the knockout punch of Marie le Pen refusing to wear one.
She's my favorite talking point lately, I just love watching the confusion on the average Lib's face when, on the one hand, I'm praising a feminist's actions, but on the other, hating on the religion of peace that oppresses women worldwide!
My classmates hate me.
