No because Trump is not shutting down the press.
No because President Trump has a right to speak his mind about the negative consequences of media misinformation.
No because politicians like McCain should be more concerned about the revised Smith-Mundt Act which allows the government to issue untrue propaganda for the purposes of misinforming the public, rather than President Trump's criticism of the mainstream media.
No, given the waking nightmare we all witnessed during the 2016 election where the DNC were producing fake news and giving it to news agencies to distribute... and having mainstream media agencies enabling them to cheat during presidential debates by allowing Hillary Clinton to set the debate questions and receive the questions in advance.
President Trump is right: the current state of the mainstream media is horrific... and is likely enabling people like George Soros to attack US democracy and influence elections.
