It's too bad they hired people here illegally. In fact they're lucky if they don't get charged with aiding and abetting. They've done the country a great disservice. The market will normalize and wages will rise in those jobs. No one's to blame but those who dealt in illegalities.

AG is the biggest biz in the State of CALIF, and Cheap mex labor is the magic of the success, biz rules the USA;

All the comments here ignore reality, article mentions Sacramento->Bakersfield, the most remote non-populated area of CALIF, there are no prison, and very little urban; LA of course is where the 2nd generation latinos find themselves. Its first generation that work their ass off. Let's see cut off the first gen, and then the BORN in USA are the lazy, but its OK they can stay cuz they born here, but then they don't work as hard as 1st gen, cuz they saw that long hours and hard work just made their parents old and broken.

the problem is 99% of the ppl on voat are idiots.

You ignore the reality. They've immigrated illegally, we are supposed to be a nation of law and order. There's been an invasion that needs to be corrected. Fixing problems is sometimes costly(there's a lot of savings in fixing this problem as well) and not very fun, but it has to be done. There's plenty of farms that don't aid and abet illegal activities/immigration. We'll be just fine, even if our fruit prices go up for a little bit. At least that money won't be sent/taken back to other countries as much.
