Linking being uncomfortable with using a gendered washroom to willful oppression of a group is one astronomical stretch.
I think the other Voater's suggestion of a third, smaller washroom is the ideal solution. To me, the genderless washrooms comes off as not as removing a burden, but merely transferring it from the minority to the majority.

That was actually my suggestion. I'm glad you used this as an opportunity to see what other people think about the issue.
Edit: I guess another poster also listed that idea, so I'm guessing you're talking about them. I'd posted in the discussion about baseball stadiums.

They already make "family washrooms" that are easily used by anyone, that would certainly qualify as a gender neutral place already.
Why is everyone (me included up to this point) thinking that OP is asking about making all washrooms gender neutral?
I think /u/cynder (up a ways from this comment) makes a very good point
