Call your soy juice whatever you want. I don't need government interference to put delicious whole milk in my coffee.

Why not too big to fail companies that are still operating thanks to socialism? Everyone seems to forget all of those companies.

3) any liquid resembling this, as the liquid within a coconut, the juice or sap of certain plants, or various pharmaceutical preparations.

It factually is milk. It factually is not "cows" milk. Maybe the government should force cows milk to be labelled as "Cows Milk" so consumers will not be confused.

I remember as a child refusing to drink milk because it seemed incredibly biological.

I said I wouldn't drink milk because it seemed biological. Does it seem like that? Strange.

There is zero reason for a human to drink milk after breastfeeding. Milk has it's uses in cheese, butter and certain recipes but that's about it. Broccoli, mushrooms, sun exposure and winter time vitamin supplements will give you all the vitamin D your body can process without the gastro-intestinal side effects.

Fuck the milk producers. Operate in the marketplace like the rest of us.

I agree that they should compete in the free market without subsidies like everyone else, but when it comes to the milk subject... YOU SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH! I LOVE ME SOME OVALTINE

The farmers want to eliminate competition by changing the name of other products in hopes of confusing the public into not buying that stuff anymore. Soy juice on your cereal just doesn't sound as appetizing as soy milk. Dairy farmers are losing business and tend to look for ways to help their own families rather than the greater good (of course they aren't the only ones). What does the dairy farmer do when nobody's drinking his milk?

Grow some fucking soybeans or hemp seeds instead, and be a capitalist like the rest of us, fucking socialist d-bags. If the market wants non-dairy beverages than help grow it or get out of the fucking way, socialist protectionist shit is against our nation and our governing principles as much as taxing us to death is. Meanwhile fed and state gubmint fuckheads keep dealing both to us in spades.

And I say this as someone who drinks cow milk, goat milk, hemp milk, almond milk, soy milk (very limited cause I like being a man), and coconut milk. I like beverages, so sell me what I want or piss off and let the next smarter businessman sell it to me.

When I buy milk... I expect it to be milk. Criticize the government for lots of stupid reasons, but this is the stupidest.

If the hill you choose to die on is "The Government is forcing companies to accurately label their products", OK, you are going to die on that hill alone.

Ultimately when the government gets involved in the business to this kind of degree it is not good for consumers, and what's more the lobbying of the industry shows how incestuous it is and how anti-competitive it is. How is this in the taxpayers best interest? It is not but this is how the US government works.
