Exactly.
The argument of "who has time and money to do that?" is so tired and played out. Someone without a valid ID cannot function properly in the US. If these bleeding hearts actually cared about this class of people, then they would be pushing doubly hard for available ID's for those unable to procure one. It's all a fucking joke and a scam.

Well those pushing to make it easier to get IDs are not those in power, the ones in power are asking for strict voter ids to discourage these people. The same people who make sure that the DMV is so underfunded its open 3 days a week for 6 hours a day, making it even harder to get an id.
In reply to the comment above, plenty of people get paid under the table or work for places that don't require an id.
