I think its they don't have time to get an ID, who has time and money to take off from work to spend all day traveling to the DMV via bus just so you can vote every two years (and have to go in a renew it occasionally) when you have kids to feed and a roof to pay for over your head? Just provide the ids easily and cheaply to all Americans and we can enact voter id laws.

I still disagree with you, but this is a far better comment than the other I replied too.

The answer to your question is 'everyone'.' You can't get a job without ID. You can't drive a vehicle without ID. You can't have a bank account either. So without ID you can't work, so if you don't have an ID you aren't feeding your kids (no income) or needing to take time off (no job). People without IDs are the homeless or children and have all the time in the world to go to the DMV.

Exactly.
The argument of "who has time and money to do that?" is so tired and played out. Someone without a valid ID cannot function properly in the US. If these bleeding hearts actually cared about this class of people, then they would be pushing doubly hard for available ID's for those unable to procure one. It's all a fucking joke and a scam.

Pretty sure states have reduced to no cost to get id for the really poor people with proof.

Yes, but still having to travel on a bus for 3 hours each way to the DMV and taking the day off work make it difficult.
Or if you're elderly and can't make the trip and your id expired a long time ago, if you don't have help you can't get to the DMV to get an ID.

How did they get that job and that roof without showing ID?

When I worked for Walmart I didn't have to provide a photo ID, I did have to provide a SSN, but you can't use that to vote.
