Ultimately, what they're saying is that it would be "going too far" to force Trump to unload his businesses.
Frankly, I'd like to see him completely divest himself as it would send an incredibly strong message and almost completely cut off an avenue of criticism. I am skeptical about that happening, but hopeful that it may happen.

I'll be curious to see how Trump implements recusing himself from his businesses.
Where did your comment about congressmen come from? Perhaps it's just a bit of free association.

And it would be ultimately worth it. The best thing Trump could do to further his future business empire is to be a hall-of-fame level Pres.

Trump using office of the POTUS to force people to stay in his hotel? He's beating eva braun merkel staff with golf clubs for refusing to join his golf courses? Are you serious? That is the same thing as saying that white guy is evicting poor black family out of their home. Stop reading nyt, wp, bg, and especially bloopers.CON. Those people are not interested in anything that is good for our country. Stand behind our new POTUS and hope he does well for OUR country and our people. MAGA

I did not say anything of the sort, so I can't respond to your question of my seriousness.
I have said before and will say again that I do hope Trump does well.
What news organization is bg?
I don't understand your venom. Getting information from diverse sources is crucial to a greater understanding of what narratives are being pushed.
Where do you get your information?

I wasn't talking to you but the talking point in general :)
Have a great day!

I see no conflict at this time of President Trump keeping his hotels and other properties. He also should take a presidential salary. He already earned it.
[–] heygeorge [S] ago
Can you enunciate why you don't see a conflict in this?
As for the salary, I also think he should take it.

He did not become wealthy by being in office. We do agree on that right? He should therefore keep whatever he has at this point. Keep but not run. Now...if he uses the office of the POTUS to enrich himself even further via new policy or EO or to actively promote his business...that is another story. At this point we are hanging the man without any evidence of corruption or conflicts of interest. msm has dragged his name through mud so much that I feel his name is actually liability not an asset.

I don't disagree with you, but the difference is this:
On the surface, the CF is about global outreach and charity for the poorest of the poor.
On the surface, Trump Inc. is about making money for himself and selling luxury to the wealthy.
It takes an inquisitive observer to look any deeper than that.
